OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Oklahoma Warriors, proud members of the North American Hockey League, announced Tuesday the acquisition of forward Olivier Laverdière from the Shreveport Mudbugs in exchange for one 2026 tender and one 2027 tender.

Laverdière, 19, split last season between the QMJHL’s Victoriaville Tigres and Cape Breton Eagles, adding major junior experience to the Warriors roster.

“We are excited to welcome Olivier to the Oklahoma Warriors,” Head Coach Eric Ballard said. “He will step in and be an impact player immediately, and we are looking forward to seeing him in Oklahoma.”

The 6-foot-2 forward made appearances in 20 games with the Tigres, logging one goal and two assists, adding two goals in 17 regular-season games and two assists in four postseason outings to his season totals.

In the 2024-25 season, the Quebec City, Quebec native registered a career-high nine goals and 13 assists in 61 games for the Victoriaville Tigres.

Prior to beginning his junior career, Laverdière spent the 2023-24 season with the Séminaire St-François Blizzard, competing in the QM18AAA, logging 14 goals and 15 assists in 38 games.

The Warriors begin the 2026-27 campaign at home on Friday, Sept. 18 against the New Mexico Ice Wolves. Puck drop from Blazers Ice Centre is set for 7 p.m. CST. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.okwarriors.com/tickets/
