Become a Warriors Host Family

Join the Warriors family and play a vital role in the organization’s success!

Becoming a Host Family is a rewarding experience on both ends, as families provide a safe and welcoming family environment for players who are living away from their own homes for the duration of the season.

Players live with their host family’s for about eight months out of the year. Usually, they will report for camp in late August and potentially stay through May depending on the duration of the team’s season and whether there is a playoff run involved.

Players are expected to play an active role in many aspects of family life, often serving as positive role models for younger children in the family. They are also expected to respect your rules and are held to the high standard which we expect our Warriors players to adhere to in all areas of their life — at home, at the rink, in school, and in the community overall. Families will receive special benefits including a $475.00 monthly stipend to help with expenses, as well as two season tickets for being a host family.

Becoming a host family is an experience that often results in a connection with your player that lasts a lifetime. Players often keep in contact with their host family long after they are finished playing. You play a crucial part in giving these young men a positive experience as they pursue their dreams of playing higher levels of hockey. Make a difference in these players’ lives!
